The lightweight Flowtech tripod legs may be operated either with the supplied mid-level spreader or independently of it. Its standard 75mm ball mount enables leveling on tripods equipped with a 75mm bowl. The built-in bubble level helps establish an accurate horizon for smooth, level pans and includes illumination for use in low-light conditions. Pressing it once activates the light for 15 seconds, helping conserve battery power.
The supplied sliding balance plate accepts the included 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting screws, allowing secure attachment of DSLRs, mirrorless bodies, and camcorders. An integrated safety catch prevents the camera from accidentally sliding off while the plate remains loosened. Head movement is controlled using the included fixed-length pan handle, which attaches to locking rosettes on either side.

Although the legs weigh less than 7 pounds, they carry loads up to 44 pounds. With the removable mid-level spreader installed, their height adjusts from 24 to 61". One clamping lever per leg controls the locking and release of its sections.
All three legs can extend and retract separately. After disconnecting the spreader, each leg also pivots without moving the others, an especially valuable feature on rocky, sloped, or otherwise uneven ground. The spreader may be removed entirely, after which every leg can lock into one of three angular positions. This spreader-free configuration permits an exceptionally wide stance for low-angle work without sacrificing torsional stability. Dual spikes beneath each leg improve purchase on soft terrain, while snap-on rubber feet deliver better traction and surface protection on hard or delicate flooring.
