Flexible Footage Recording

Sporting a single CFexpress Type B card slot, the XE records internally to a compatible media card with data rates topping out at 800 MB/s. With support for REDCODE Raw HQ capture, the XE maintains post-production flexibility for color grading, cropping, and visual effects. Simultaneous proxy capture and alternative format options maintain smooth integration with existing processes.

Built-In Controls and Monitoring

Constructed into the right side of the camera, the control interface provides a 2.4" LCD screen with easily navigable menus, delivering an AC or camera operator with diverse control over in-camera format selection and other important functions. Dual 12G-SDI ports produce unique observation views, while a USB-C port feeds data at up to 250 MB/s.

Advanced Connectivity

Supporting both wired and wireless IP interfacing, the XE enables cloud-based collaboration and app-based remote camera control. Whenever used with RED's RF to PL Adapter with electronic ND filters, the XE enables ND strength to be continuously adjusted over Wi-Fi in fine increments of 1/100 of a stop.

The V-RAPTOR RF to PL Adapter with Electronic ND Filter Pack from RED DIGITAL CINEMA integrates the same accurate electronic ND (neutral density) control used in the V-RAPTOR XL into a robust PL-mount option for the RED V-RAPTOR.

Easy Exposure Control

This pack incorporates a RF to PL lens mount adapter, an electronic ND filter with a 2- to 7-stop range, and a detailed filter to use with the mount adapter whenever a ND is not required. Control the ND filter via built-in buttons, DSMC3 RED Touch 7.0 LCD, RED Control, RED Control Pro, web interface, or any RCP2 compatible remote for easy exposure access in any configuration. The adapter also allows Cooke /i lens communications and ZEISS XD data pass-through.

Add a direct-mount onboard monitor to your DSMC3 camera rig with the DSMC3 RED Touch 7.0" LCD Monitor with Rigid Hinge from RED DIGITAL CINEMA. The RED Touch contains daylight viewing, a wide 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and touchscreen control for DSMC3 cameras, such as the V-RAPTOR 8K VV. The rigid hinge and arm permit you to apply more pressure for positioning the Touch for optimal viewing. The Touch monitor incorporates 1920 x 1200 definition, a 1250:1 contrast ratio, and 1300 cd/m² brightness for high-quality image-capture.

This monitor attaches directly to your DSMC3 BRAIN through its Pogo mount, which makes available footage, data, and power to the monitor from the camera. If you need to use the Pogo mount for another accessory, the monitor additionally provides a locking USB-C connector that alternately enables you to pass footage, data, and power to the camera. Note that the DSMC3 Touch monitor is not compatible with DSMC, DSMC2, RED RANGER, or KOMODO camera systems.
