Its connections for multi-voltage accessories include two 12 VDC 2.5mm barrel jacks, one 8 VDC 2.1mm barrel jack, and one 15 VDC barrel jack. A 5V 2.1A USB-A port, a USB-C input/output supporting 60W PD and QC, and a 14.8V D-Tap output are also provided, allowing monitors, lights, microphones, and mobile devices to draw power from one source.

Status indicator lights built into the VB-A1's power button provide an immediate view of the charge level. Accessories can be attached through 11 integrated 1/4"-20 threads, while extra 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting holes on the dual 15mm rod clamp broaden the mounting possibilities. To support fast, safe charging without battery damage, integrated circuit protection guards the V-mount battery against overcharging, overvoltage, overcurrent, overheating, and short circuits.
