A full-featured monopod can be created from the lightweight, adaptable 79" Multifunctional Aluminum Tripod by Neewer. Its 5.7 lb frame supports an impressive 33 lb load, yet collapses to 26.4" for straightforward carrying or storage. Durable aluminum legs keep the construction light, while padded leg warmer grips improve traction and comfort. Each leg spreads separately and locks at three angles, helping establish a level platform on uneven surfaces. The adjustable lateral center column can be positioned and secured at four different angles. Removing and reversing this column accommodates low-level and macro photography. For situations such as sports or wildlife shooting, when deploying a complete tripod may be cumbersome or slow, one detachable leg functions as a 61"-tall monopod.
A quick release plate accompanies the included Arca-type ball head. Precision-numbered markings around its rotating base help produce accurate panoramic images with repeatable positioning.
