Built around the new Befree Live fluid video head, the Manfrotto 290 Light aluminium tripod kit (MK290LTA3-V) is configured for vloggers and mobile journalists. The head provides professional fluid movement for pan and tilt, keeping operation intuitive in a tripod set designed for long service. Its clever, lightweight, compact form is particularly easy to transport. As a complete kit, the legs and head are ready to work together on location.
Aluminium leg tubes form the user-friendly design and remain fully rigid when the tripod is set up. Stability is reinforced by the top castings, while aluminium locking levers let the user apply the required tension. These elements keep the fluid-head tripod dependable under sustained heavy use. Two leg angles and centre-column levelling provide the flexibility needed to frame footage. A Manfrotto-designed rubber leg warmer improves grip and handling.
Completing this tripod is the smallest, lightest video head in Manfrotto's range. A dedicated sliding plate on the Befree Live Fluid Head balances current camcorders, DSLRs, or mirrorless cameras with video capability. Fluid drag inherited from Manfrotto's Video head range gives pan and tilt notably smooth movement. Although the head weighs only 0.38kg and is highly portable, it supports payloads up to 4kg for better control of camera movement during video capture.
