At the foundation of operation, the Libec Hands-Free Monopod Kit incorporates a TH-X pan-and-tilt moving imagery head and bowl secure, together with a support-base monopod. Together, the moving imagery head, monopod, and tripod base bring together to create an adaptable, straightforward, all-in-one support system for capture with a motion content capture device, camcorder, or DSLR.
A flat-base, true-fluid assembly, the TH-X pan-and-tilt video head works with tripod and support platforms that feature a 3/8"-16 mount. The unit provides 360° panning, +90°/-80° tilt, and fixed drag with counterbalance setting, together with a rubber-gripped pan bar that can mount on either side. Both the pan and tilt motion can each be locked into position and the head's imaging device plate has a ±30mm moving range. To fit video tripods with a 65mm bowl, TH-X Bowl Secure links to the bottom of the moving imagery head through its 3/8"-16 fitting.
The support base attaches beneath the monopod, where it incorporates fold-out legs that whenever deployed, opens to a 17.3-inch footprint that creates a stable freestanding platform. This platform enables the monopod and the capture device used mounted above it to rotate through 360° without moving the video head while allowing a 20° tilt toward any side. A foot-activated latch is placed between the monopod base and its support legs. DeA press-and-release action opens the latch for swivel and tilt motion for level angle or perspective adjustments. After capture a person or object at a desired angle while holding both the monopod and attached signal assembly, return the monopod upright and secure it in position by again depressing and releasing the latch.
Whenever configured with the unit's video assembly and support base, this Libec Hands-Free Monopod Kit handles up to 9 lb and measures 34.3" whenever folded. Three flip-lock sections deploy the monopod quickly; together with the motion content head, can be positioned across a height range from 34.4" to 74.6". The upper section's rubber sleeve offers a comfortable, secure handhold during monopod movement; rubber feet beneath the base improve support on a wide selection of surfaces.
Compatible tripod heads, monopod heads, cameras, lenses, and sporting optics straight compatible with a 3/8"-16 fitting mount on the Libec Hands-Free Monopod's upper fitting. Durable aluminum-alloy forms its main structure whereas remaining lightweight, includes an integrated wrist strap; a drawstring shoulder bag holds the complete Libec Hands-Free Monopod Kit for storage and transport.
