The Kiloview N50 12G-SDI/USB to NDI Bidirectional Converter handles NDI|HX along with 12G-SDI encoding and decoding. Its color OLED display and oversized scroll wheel provide straightforward viewing and adjustment of operating parameters. PoE and DC powering, PTZ operation, 3.5mm line-level audio input and output, multichannel sound, and intercom support make the N50 suitable for professional IP-video transport.
Bidirectional Encoding and Decoding
Encoder mode transforms a 4K 12G-SDI source into an NDI or NDI|HX stream. When set as a decoder, the N50 detects and adapts to incoming NDI and NDI|HX formats automatically. End-to-end NDI transmission operates with less than 80ms of latency.
Broadcast-Grade Color
Support for professional YCbCr 4:2:2 color at both 8- and 10-bit depths helps the N50 preserve the image and color fidelity expected within medical and broadcast environments.
1.96" Display and Rotary Controller
- The large 1.96" LCD shows operating information whenever needed and can double as an oversized tally indicator.
- Use the scroll wheel to select sources, switch power on or off, modify settings, and access shortcuts rapidly.
USB-A and USB-C Connectivity
The two USB formats accept video from a webcam or PC and enable PTZ-camera operation through USB expansion.
Audio and Operator Communication
- The N50 handles embedded 12G-SDI sound plus analog encoding and decoding through its 3.5mm connection.
- USB intercom functionality permits live communication among operators of Kiloview equipment.
Serial and Network PTZ Operation
PTZ cameras can be controlled through USB-to-serial RS-232/-485/-422 or externally over network protocols such as Sony VISCA, Pelco-D, and Pelco-P.
Onboard SD Recording
Capture footage directly onto an SD card to help avoid missing frames when a network connection slows, fluctuates, or drops.
PoE or DC Power
The converter can receive PoE through one of its two RJ45 Ethernet connections or operate from the 12 VDC barrel input.
