The N5 3G-SDI to NDI & NDI HX 2/3 Bidirectional Converter from Kiloview sends video at resolutions through 1080p60 across an NDI IP network and provides low-latency source changes from a browser-based interface. It works with NDI High Bandwidth and NDI|HX 2/3, offering loop-through for display monitoring or 3G-SDI output from NDI feeds generated by cameras, software, and other compatible products.

PTZ operation is supported over IP or through USB-to-serial RS-232/485/422. One Ethernet cable can carry network data and power through PoE (Power over Ethernet). Multichannel sound is accepted through embedded audio and 3.5mm connections, while voice intercom enables communication between Kiloview products and a controlling computer or phone. A prominent front-panel LED tally indicator identifies program and preview status.

Two-Way NDI Conversion

Both NDI High Bandwidth and NDI|HX 2/3 can be encoded or decoded by the N5. Select the required operating mode through the user interface to adapt the unit to different workflows. Encoder mode transforms a 3G-SDI source into an NDI High Bandwidth or NDI|HX 2/3 stream, while decoder mode detects those NDI formats automatically and outputs them through 3G-SDI.

Integrated Status Display

A 1.14" LCD with touch controls presents live information for network connectivity, IP address, CPU usage, memory, video resolution, operating temperature, and tally state.

Clean Source Changes

When operating as a decoder, the N5 lets users define as many as nine NDI feeds in its web interface and choose among them for output without black frames, flashing, or visible delay.

USB Keypad Operation

Decoder mode allows NDI sources to be assigned to numbers 0-9. After connecting a USB keypad, an output can be selected with one keystroke. The same inexpensive keypad solution may alternatively control a PTZ camera.

Several Ways to Supply Power

PoE powers the N5 through the same cable used for networking. Its broad 5 to 18 VDC input range also allows operation from USB power or a compatible camera battery.
