Distribute a production to as many as 16 destinations at once using the E3 HDMI & SDI Dual Channel Video Encoder from Kiloview. This next-generation model accepts up to UHD 4K30 through its HDMI input and loop output, while the 3G-SDI input and loop output handle resolutions through 1080p60. Both sources can be encoded at up to 1080p60 in H.264, H.265, or a combination of the two. Compatible transport protocols include NDI|HX2, NDI|HX3, SRT, RTMP, RTSP, UDP, and HLS.

Latency below 100ms makes the E3 suitable for remote contribution, livestreaming, and numerous other live-production workflows. Its current-generation processor can feed 16 separate endpoints concurrently, providing eight 1080p main streams and eight 720p substreams. Analog sound enters through a 3.5mm line connection, while HDMI and 3G-SDI carry embedded digital audio. Supported conversion formats include AAC, MPEG-4, MPEG-3, MPEG-2, Opus, and G.711. The 1.14" LCD presents real-time details for network connectivity, IP address, CPU, memory, output resolution, operating temperature, and tally state. PoE (Power over Ethernet) supplies power and data through one Ethernet cable, helping reduce wiring around the encoder.

Simultaneous HDMI and 3G-SDI Encoding

Video can be encoded from the HDMI input, the 3G-SDI connection, or both ports concurrently at resolutions reaching 1080p60. The E3 can also combine the two incoming sources into one picture using either PIP or PBP layouts, providing flexible high-quality live output.

Adaptable Codec Choices

For IP-based transmission, the encoder supports both conventional H.264 and the more efficient HEVC format. HEVC enables the E3 to retain image quality at reduced bitrates, lowering bandwidth consumption by over 50%.

Broad Protocol Support

Protocol compatibility encompasses NDI|HX3, NDI|HX2, SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, ONVIF, and TS transported through UDP, RTP, or RTSP. This allows the E3 to handle NDI|HX live production, SRT remote workflows, RTMP or HLS broadcasts, and other transmissions involving multiple protocol types.

Advanced Multichannel Audio

SDI sources support eight channels of embedded-audio encoding, while HDMI inputs accommodate four embedded channels. Additional tools include de-embedding, channel selection, alternate-channel control, and audio-output mapping.

Dependable Streaming and Local Recording

Every E3 input can be captured as a .MOV or .MP4 file to storage connected through USB or to a NAS.
