The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Converter from supplies an enhanced 8K monitoring solution.
Its DisplayPort feeds permit you use pro displays like the Apple Pro Screen XDR as part of your on-set or post-production display setup.
The four 12G-SDI sources support 4K feeds independently or an 8K source feed together, either DCI 8K or 8K footage split into four UHD feeds.
Third-party calibration hardware is supported, including the X-Rite i1 Screen Pro, SpectraCal C6, and Klein K10-A probes to accurately match connected displays for accurate color.
The built-in, colour LCD display displays not only the footage picture, but it can additionally display two on-screen scopes chosen from WFM, Parade, Vector, and Histogram options.
The 8K is provided on the four SDI feeds, via the single USB-C DisplayPort feed, or the two full-size DisplayPort feeds for displays that support quad HDMI sources.
If you are not connected to an 8K observation option, a built-in down-converter permits you to display the 8K source footage on an Ultra HD or HD display.
This device will convert between 2SI and square division without manual intervention.
The Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR option allows a variety of HDR processes such as PQ and HLG, and the unit provides support for both Rec. 202 and Rec. 709 as well as 100% of the DCI-P3 configuration.
Two separate 3D LUTs can be loaded at the identical time, and you can selector between them from its front panel.
In addition to the LCD footage display, the front of the Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Converter contains a rotating selection knob and six front-panel keys for navigating.
Use the supplied rubber feet for desktop installation or support the converter with the separately provided Teranex Mini Rack Shelf.
