Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI to sound 4K — Product Guide
The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI to Audio 4K from extracts either four analog audio channels or eight digital AES/EBU channels from any SDI moving imagery signal.
It provides a 6G-SDI source that accepts definitions up to Ultra HD (3840x2160) and DCI 4K (4096x2160), and delivers four 1/4" audio jack connectors for outputting the embedded analog or electronic audio channels to an audio display, mixer, or other audio hardware.
The SDI signal is feed over a one 6G-SDI connector, with the definition and shot rate matching that of the existing source source.
Through 6G-SDI technology, the Mini Converter accommodates UHD and DCI 4K definitions at up to 30 fps.
The Mini Converter additionally accommodates One Link SD, HD, and 3G-SDI feeds, automatically detecting and switching between the distinct formats.
A redundant SDI source is provided as an optional rear up; with the converter switching over if the main SDI source is lost.
The Mini Converter's settings are controlled through the built-in DIP switches or through USB through the supplied software for Max OS X or Windows computers.
The USB port additionally permits the firmware to be revised. For powering the device, a 12VDC power supply is supplied with international socket adapters.
