The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter HDMI to SDI 6G by converts HDMI to SD, HD, 3G, or 6G-SDI in definitions up to DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) at 24p and UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) up to 30p.
This is valuable for connecting consumer devices that feed HDMI signals with professional SDI footage equipment.
With a space-efficient form factor and easy-to-use settings, the Mini Converter is excellent for a selection of broadcast, post-production, and professional AV uses.
Through 4K HDMI and 6G-SDI technologies, the Mini Converter without manual intervention detects the source video configuration and instantly changes between SD, HD, and UHD/DCI 4K formats.
The two 6G-SDI feeds additionally support SD and HD-SDI feeds for integration into existing processes.
Both 6G-SDI feeds send duplicate feeds. Audio is embedded in the SDI feed from either the HDMI source or from the two 1/4" source jacks which support four channels of AES/EBU electronic audio or two channels of analog audio.
The Mini Converter's settings are controlled through the built-in switches or through USB through downloadable Blackmagic Design control software for Windows or macOS computers.
The USB port additionally permits the firmware to be revised.
The device is powered by an supplied 12V power supply and incorporates international socket adapters.
