The Blackmagic Design ATEM Camera Converter  by permits extension of SDI (serial electronic connection) / HDMI cameras to distances up to 28 miles (45km) through an optical fiber link.
You can connect your body to the SDI/HDMI sources to convert videos to optical feeds.
This optical fiber source can be connected to the switcher program feed to convert to SDI/HDMI feeds for observation.
In addition, the SDI/HDMI feeds can be switched between return program and unit source for monitoring.
With an onboard battery, the converter can be employed at remote locations whenever the cameras are placed at far-off sites.
Featured Talkback function permits the switcher operator to co-ordinate with unit operator through PC headsets or iPhone-compatible headphones.
By embedding microphone audio into channels 15 and 16 of the body optical fiber footage output, the Talkback function listens to channels 15 and 16 of the optical fiber source on the headphones.
Through the 12V power link, the converter can be connected to any power source or a car battery.
By connecting the switcher’s program feed to the ATEM Unit Converter via optical feeds, the body converter illuminates the 2 tally LEDs through open standard tally packet in the SDI feed.
You can choose the camera number through the USB software or by body number control on the keypad.
In asset, you can additionally view red colour tally on the display by connecting outboard observation to the HDMI/SDI feeds.
Featuring a built-in belt mount, the camera converter can be mounted to the belt for portability.
With the help of a unit mount, the converter can be mounted onto a support. In addition, the camera converter incorporates microphone sources for audio function.
Made of aircraft-grade aluminum, the body converter can endure bumps and shocks eliminating breaking.
Built-in button pad permits you to control power, microphone level, talkback and footage, and battery indicators.
