The Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Enhanced Panel by is a full-featured hardware control panel for BMD ATEM switchers.
It links via Ethernet and supplies hands-on tactile control, important for broadcast studios.
an LCD information screen surrounded by soft-touch menu keys and rotary encoders enables straightforward programming of control functions.
Aside from the main screen, each programmable control has an LCD scribble strip to illustrate the unit's function.
Since buttons can perform distinct functions, up to 20 sources can be accessed by shifting the 10 source buttons.
The keys themselves deliver curved indentations to help avoid incorrect keystrokes. Real-time dynamic settings are provided in the shape of a one 3-axis joystick and large weighted T-bar fader.
Use the joystick to from a distance control PTZ cameras or effects, and the T-bar to refine transitions, wipes, fades, and more.
At the rear of the device are dual Ethernet links, a USB port for firmware updates, and power sources.
Use the IEC source for connecting to mains power, and the 4-pin XLR 12V source for DC power supplies.
The panel's chassis is sized small enough to integrate in a standard hardware rack, enabling it to be implemented in broadcast trucks and fly-away kits.
