On the capture side, the Azden SGM-3500 Broadcast Directional Microphone is developed for footage and audio workflow with a camcorder, footage DSLR, or portable audio recorder. With a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz, it fits on-camera installation or as a boom pole microphone in professional footage workflows.
Measuring nearly 7" long, the SGM-3500's interference barrel generates a supercardioid polar response and provides excellent rejection of off-axis audio. Featuring an all metal brass chassis that delivers best RF rejection and durability, 48V phantom power, a gold-plated XLR connector to maintain a good link and elevated protection to corrosion and a boosted frequency response around 5 kHz where spoken word articulation is primary present for definition, the SGM-3500 boasts an ultralow interference floor at 13 dB for crystal detailed audio.
