When image acquisition begins, the Azden SGM-250MX is a professional short directional microphone that integrates a shockmount for simple camera mounting and a hardwired 13" feed lead with a mini-XLR connector for use with Blackmagic Pocket Cinema cameras. It connects into the balanced mini-xlr audio source of the Pocket Cinema, which produces phantom power and includes superior audio quality with less interference than the camera's 3.5mm audio source. Specifically tuned to preserve the lifelike qualities of a speaking person or object, the mic offers footage creators with a cost-effective option for TV, documentary, and film uses.
The SGM-250MX incorporates a supercardioid polar response and a purpose-built acoustic barrel with precise, phase-canceling slots that minimize the capture of unwanted noise whereas focusing on the audio in front of the unit. The highly sensitive capsule produces a flat frequency response (20 Hz to 20 kHz) with low self-noise and 130 dB SPL, for accurate audio acquisition.
Handcrafted in Japan, the SGM-250MX is housed in a brass/aluminum alloy case that enhances durability and rejects ambient radio frequencies (RF). The SMH-X shockmount with two width expander sheets delivers a secure hold for your microphone, whether you run-and-gun or fitting it to a pistol handhold or to a boompole.
