For professional deployment, The KUMO 3232-12G Compact SDI Router from AJA supplies signal control and allows full broadcast specifications over 12G-SDI with quality that exceeds SMPTE specifications. This space-efficient 2 RU format router is developed for broadcast, production, or postproduction settings which include mobile sports trucks, edit suites, corporate footage installations, or live theatrical A/V rigs.

This router contains 32 12G-SDI sources and feeds and has a Linux embedded working system. It is network-ready and accommodates HTTP control and observation via a web browser, without the need for any extra software. It can be built-in with existing infrastructure utilizing the industry-standard Grass Valley Native Protocol over RS-422 or Ethernet. Ethernet network connectivity also enables you to control this router from any web browser on a network-connected device.

Powerful Signal operation

The cross-point routing matrix maps any source to any number of feeds without the need for extra patch panels or distribution amplifiers. It may be set up for ganged dual and quad port routing, allowing operators to group together several inputs and feeds for dual link, 4K, and UltraHD processes.

Salvo Simplicity: Guide

The Salvos support simplifies switching operations by recalling several sources to specific destinations. The router stores eight configurable Salvos, which operators can recall from KUMO CP2 Salvos buttons, RS-232, GVG Native Protocol over Ethernet, or the Web UI.

Streamlined Setup Process — AJA KUMO 3232-12G

With an embedded Linux working system, this router is network-ready and accommodates HTTP control and observation via a web browser, without the need for any extra software. The auto-detect Bonjour/Zeroconf protocols mean that network configuration is automated. By connecting it to a network or computer the system will self-configure, and be ready for use. Alternatively, standard network configuration permits access to the router via its default IP address.

KUMO operation Panel

The KUMO CP2 and KUMO CP are optional control panels that can be used in standalone or network configurations. They permit full control from any location without the need for a computer by connecting via Ethernet to the same network as the KUMO routers. Up to four KUMO routers can be controlled from a single control panel. The KUMO CP2 supplies direct access to all 32 sources and 32 outputs.
